The Argentine rapper Cazzu returned to the stage on December 8, 2024, marking a highly anticipated comeback at the Buenos Aires Trap festival. This occasion not only represented her return to performing after a significant break but also solidified her presence in the Argentine trap and urban music scene. Her comeback came after experiencing significant life events, such as becoming a mother and breaking up with Christian Nodal.

The relationship between Cazzu and Christian Nodal was one of the most talked-about relationships in the entertainment industry. The couple, who started dating back in 2022, garnered the attention of thousands of fans, shortly after Nodal ended his relationship with Belinda. They were seen together in Guatemala, walking hand in hand and sharing public moments. They became official in August 2022, when they began appearing together more visibly at events and collaborating musically. In April 2023, Cazzu confirmed her pregnancy, and in September, the couple’s daughter, Inti, was born.

A few months later, the unexpected breakup occurred: Nodal and Cazzu announced the end of their relationship in May 2024. Just two weeks later, Nodal and Mexican singer Ángela Aguilar confirmed they had started dating through a well-known magazine. Two months later, they surprised the public even more by getting married in Mexico.

Nodal’s breakup and sudden new relationship sparked international controversy and speculation regarding rumors of a supposed infidelity. While Christian allegedly denied this several times, both he and Ángela referred to their relationship as something that had been developing over time, even implying that Cazzu was already aware of it—something the Argentine artist categorically denied during her first public appearance on an Argentine TV show.

The Official Return of ‘La Jefa’ (‘The Girlboss’)

During the time Cazzu stayed away from the stage, she focused on embracing motherhood. This stage allowed the artist to concentrate on her personal and family well-being, which meant taking a break from her professional schedule. Despite this, she remained active in the creative sphere and recording studios, preparing new material for her upcoming professional phase.

Her performance at the Buenos Aires Trap festival became her only show for both 2023 and 2024. At the event, Cazzu shared the stage with other major names in trap and urban music, such as Khea and Eladio Carrión. This appearance not only demonstrated her influence as one of the leading figures in Argentine trap but also highlighted the collaborative spirit and synergy between local and international artists. Cazzu, known as «La Jefa» in the Argentine trap scene, proved why she is a crucial figure in the country’s urban music industry, maintaining an unbreakable connection with her audience and a commanding stage presence.

Cazzu’s return to the stage not only marks her personal and professional comeback but also serves as an inspiration for many women in the rap and trap scene. The Argentine artist continues to be a symbol of female empowerment in a predominantly male industry, showing that it is possible to achieve success without compromising identity and authenticity.
