After being honored as Woman of the Year at the annual Billboard Women in Music event, a few days ago we finally got to know that Karol G will also be honored as Woman of the Year 2024 at the next edition of the Billboard Latin Women in Music Awards, for her “extraordinary achievements and unparalleled impact on the music industry”. The highly anticipated celebration will take place on Sunday, June 9.

The show will be broadcast on Telemundo, and hosted by Mexican actress Jacqueline Bracamontes, with a ceremony presented by different personalities such as Myrka Dellanos, Pedro Capó, Luis Figueroa, María José, Penélope Menchaca, Maripily Rivera and Andrea Meza, among others.

Female Latin music stars Kali Uchis and Camila Cabello will also be honored in this next edition of the awards.

Uchis, who rose to global fame after releasing her viral hit ‘Telepatía’, will receive the Rising Star award after positioning herself as one of the most promising female talents on the current scene, which is not limited to a single language. On the other hand, Camila, who is waiting to release her highly anticipated next album, C,XOXO (and who has already revealed some singles that assure that this studio album will be a smash hit), will receive the Global Impact Award thanks to her humanitarian efforts along with Equality Florida, Healing Justice and Lambda Legal.

In the second edition of this ceramony that was born as a result of the unstoppable success of our Latin divas inside and outside the United States, the Billboard Latin Women in Music honorees will also be stars and icons of Latin music such as Gloria Estefan, Angela Aguilar, Ana Barbara and Kany Garcia.

Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Kany Garcia, who has become a reference for the LGBTIQ+ community over the years, will receive the Spirit of Change Award. Earlier this year, she released an LGBTQ+ anthem with ‘En Esta Boca’ along with fellow new generation icon Young Miko.

Ángela Aguilar, who is carrying on the legacy of her father, Pepe Aguilar, will also be recognized with the Music Destiny award. On the other hand, La India, Puerto Rican artist known as the ‘Princess of Salsa’ will receive the Pioneer Award.
