Bad Bunny has been killing it for several years now, topping charts not just in his home of Puerto Rico, but worldwide. But lately, there’s been a wave of other artists making big waves in music, especially in the Mexican music genre like Junior H, Natanael Cano, Carin Leon, and of course, Peso Pluma.
The ‘conejo malo’ has mentioned la ‘Doble P’ before, but in a recent interview, the «Me Porto Bonito» singer talked about how he’s keeping an eye on Mexican artists who are into corridos tumbados. He praised Peso Pluma and other young talents for taking traditional Mexican music and giving it a fresh, modern twist.
They’re killing it worldwide. Mexican music is becoming popular again in a really cool way.”

However, it’s not the first time the Puerto Rican artist has expressed his empathy for Hassan.
“I’m really glad about what’s happening in his career. I always identify with kids like that, who come from nothing, who come from the bottom, and suddenly, they’re in the spotlight, it always reminds me of myself. It’s like I was the same, I was a kid who came from nothing and suddenly was living a dream. So, it makes me happy, like that time when I was happy, it brings back that joy,” he recalled.
After Bad Bunny’s comments, fans of both artists are considering the idea of them teaming up for a song. This is particularly intriguing given Benito’s past involvement in regional Mexican music with Grupo Frontera. Would you like to hear a collaboration between Bad Bunny and Peso Pluma?
