Alejandro Fernández, one of the most iconic Mexican music stars, has also made a significant cultural and social impact in the United States. As the son of the legendary Vicente Fernández, his life has always been in the public eye, sparking rumors about his personal life, including speculation about his sexual orientation—a topic that has also surrounded artists like Billie Eilish.

Recently, Fernández addressed these rumors directly, showing he can handle such comments with both humor and grace. During an interview featured on the YouTube channel ¡Qué buen chisme!, a reporter asked him a straightforward question on the subject. Initially taken aback, the singer responded with his signature wit: “Wow! That’s a new one for me. Wanting to be with me is a whole different story.”

With a smile, El Potrillo added, “I’m completely straight,” making it clear that such rumors don’t bother him. He also stated that he’s “seen it all,” reflecting the confidence and self-assurance he’s developed after years of living in the public spotlight.

Currently, Alejandro Fernández is enjoying a steady and happy phase in his personal life alongside his longtime partner, model and influencer Karla Laveaga. The couple has had an on-and-off relationship since 2011. After a brief split in 2019, they reconnected in 2021 and have been sharing special moments together on social media ever since.

In October, Alejandro celebrated Karla’s 33rd birthday in Los Angeles while touring the U.S. They also enjoyed a getaway to New York City, spending time with close friends like Carín León and Sebastián Yatra. Karla shared snapshots from their trip to the Big Apple, while Alejandro reflected on how meaningful the experience was: “When all the planets align, amazing things happen,” he wrote in a heartfelt post featuring Carín León.
