It has been a year and a half since Rosalía revolutionized the music industry with her third studio album, Motomami (2022). The album captivated both critics and the audience, becoming one of the top albums of the year in terms of numbers and impact. The Spanish star made a powerful comeback to music with 16 uplifting tracks.

Songs like «Hentai,» «La Fama,» «Bizcochito,» «Chicken Teriyaki,» and «La Combi Versace» were heard all over the world. But the album was full of hits. Now, more than a year after its release, one of the songs from Motomami has gone viral on TikTok. And that song is none other than «Diablo.»

«Diablo» is a song where Rosalía has a conversation with the Devil himself (who represents the ugliest side of fame and has a child’s voice in this track). «The one on TV is not the one I knew. Not the one I knew,» sings the child’s voice at one point. Additionally, the song features a bridge by none other than James Blake, a friend of Rosalía’s since they released «Barefoot in The Park.» A beautiful verse that represents the transformation Rosalía has undergone in recent years.

But, Why Has «Diablo» Gone Viral in the Summer of 2023?

Now, Rosalía’s «Diablo» has gone viral. The reason? A new trend on TikTok has become popular. Many of her followers use a filter that simulates your «soul» leaving your body and then going back in. A mirror effect that syncs with the melody of the song’s chorus.

The song has appeared in more than 50,000 videos on TikTok alone, and the trend has just begun. Surely, the song will become one of the most viral hits of this summer. We have to admit that «Diablo» is an absolute crazy track and it deserved a second life. We’re thrilled!
