Tokischa is touring some cities in Europe with her Popola Presidente Tour. Of course, Spain couldn’t be missing from her list, and here she has already offered some of the planned concerts, turning each one of them into a unique spectacle. That’s why she take advantage of her visit in Madrid to talk with Cintia León at the studios of LOS40 Urban, where she confessed that she is being «very well» received by her Spanish audience. «I love it,» she says. But that’s not all.
At Primavera Sound, one of the most relevant festivals in the world, she shared the stage with Bad Gyal, with whom she performed the remix of ‘Chulo,’ which has already been confirmed to be released in a few days with Puerto Rican artist Young Miko. Tokischa has nothing but kind words for the Catalan artist, although she is not the only one mentioned in the interview. Her kiss with Villano Antillano, the artists she would form a government with and her protest lyrics are some of the topics that have taken center stage in this conversation. A few days ago, we met with the Dominican artist backstage at Primavera Sound, where Cris Regatero had a chat with her about her performance at the festival and other current topics in her career. Many of her fans wonder if they will ever hear a session with their favorite artist and Bizarrap. She is clear about it: «We have met, but we haven’t released a session yet. Anything is possible,» she responds to our host.
Another element that is present in our protagonist’s music, as mentioned earlier, is the protest in her lyrics. «I don’t think my discourse has softened. I am very honest, very clear, and very free,» she declared.
What is clear is that Tokischa’s essence is unique and she is willing to continue delighting us with it in each of her songs. And you, are you excited to listen to ‘Chulo (Remix)’?
