Tokischa has become one of the most recognizable faces in urban music. The Dominican artist has conquered playlists with hits like ‘Delincuente’, ‘Perra’ and ‘Estilazo’. She has also collaborated with some of the biggest stars in the world, from our beloved Rosalía to J Balvin. She even released a new version of ‘Hung Up’ with the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna! So yes, it’s a fact to say that Tokischa is making history.

With such a resume, it’s no wonder that the 27-year-old has been one of the headliners at the Primavera Sound 2023 fest. The artist has been in Barcelona, Madrid and Oporto during the past week. And it was in the Spanish capital where our reporter Cris Regatero had the opportunity to chat with her for five minutes. It happened just before Tokischa took the stage and the nerves were palpable.

«I’m eager to warm up», says the singer as soon as she sits on the sofa at the LOS40 Stand. And it’s no surprise that she needs to warm up. Not only her voice but also her body. Furthermore, Tokischa has revealed that after Madonna called into Spanish TV show ‘La Resistencia» thanks to her, they talked again. The queen of pop didn’t take offense at all. On the contrary! «I have a very nice relationship with her. She’s really cool», she concludes.
