The Rolling Stones are proving they’ve still got it! The legendary British band has just released a new teaser from their upcoming and highly anticipated album, Hackney Diamonds, set to drop on October 20th. Let’s not overlook that this album marks the band’s return to original material for the first time since the release of A Bigger Bang in 2005. This awaited album also holds special significance as it is the group’s first since the passing of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021.

Following «Angry,» which featured actress Sydney Sweeney from the hit series Euphoria, the focus now turns to «Sweet Sounds of Heaven,» a project that had its roots over a decade ago, has finally come to fruition. This single features the iconic artists Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder.

The track distinctly incorporates blues influences, a genre that Gaga has delved into in recent years, alongside her jazz collaborations with Tony Bennett. Accompanying the song’s release, The Rolling Stones have unveiled a lyric video and a series of Polaroid images taken in the studio alongside the Michigan-based artist.

Not Their First Time: Gaga & The Rolling Stones

This collaboration isn’t the first between Gaga and The Rolling Stones. In December 2012, they graced the stage at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, delivering a rendition of «Gimme Shelter,» a classic from the English quartet dating back to the late ’70s. Their joint performance marked the celebration of the Rolling Stones’ 50th anniversary in the music industry, aptly named the ’50 And Counting Tour.’

Also, Gaga and Stevie Wonder aren’t the only icons contributing to the Rolling Stones’ upcoming masterpiece. Music legends Paul McCartney and Elton John are also making their mark on the band’s sixteenth studio album. As confirmed by the band members themselves to The New York Times, McCartney has lent his bass sound to «Bite My Head Off.» Elton John, on the other hand, has showcased his piano skills on «Live by the Sword,» a track that also features the band’s original bassist, Bill Wyman.
