On March 18, 2022, Rosalía began a new era in her music with the release of her album «Motomami.» After more than a year, this phase is coming to an end. Las weekend, on July 22, she performed at the Lollapalooza festival in Paris, marking the final concert of the festival tour that has taken the singer around the world in 2023, closing this era on the stages.

It has been a remarkable musical period for Rosalía. From the very beginning, «Motomami» became one of the standout albums of the year, and she has continuously filled stadiums and festivals worldwide, adding several new awards to her collection.

In summary, Rosalía and «Motomami» left us with many great milestones in the last year. Here are some of those iconic moments.

Producer of the Year Award

In March 2023, the Billboard Women in Music Awards 2023 took place in Los Angeles. Rosalía was one of the awardees and received the prestigious Producer of the Year award.

During her acceptance speech, the artist used the opportunity to bring visibility to the work of producers and dedicated the award especially to women in this profession.

«The work of a producer is behind the scenes, not very glamorous… it’s 15 hours a day working on a sound,» explained the singer. «I want to dedicate this award to all the women who will become producers because, without a doubt, I am not the first nor will I be the last,» she added.

Queen of LOS40 Music Awards 2022

Continuing her streak of awards, Rosalía was the top nominee and headliner at the last edition of the LOS40 Music Awards.

Out of the seven awards she was nominated for, the Catalan artist received three: the Golden Music Award, Best Festival, Tour, or Concert, and Best Album in the Spain category for «Motomami.» Moreover, Rosalía kicked off the gala with an incredible performance of «La Fama,» her song with The Weeknd.

«RR» & Wedding Plans with Rauw Alejandro

Also in March of this year, one of the most impactful musical releases in recent months arrived. Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro released their first joint EP, «RR.» A three-song record, including «Beso,» «Vampiros,» and «Promesa,» followed by the long-awaited confirmation: the couple has wedding plans.

It was through the music video for «Beso» that Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro announced their engagement. The song was a perfect choice for the occasion as it tells a sort of diary of their relationship as artists.

The message to Rauw during a concert

Rosalía has been the subject of many viral moments during this time. One of the most talked about recently was the message she sent to Rauw Alejandro during her concert at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona.

It all started with a video Rauw Alejandro posted on social media imitating Rosalía as revenge for her previous imitation of him. The clip went so viral that the singer wanted to respond to her partner through the camera recording her concert at the Catalan festival, and the entire audience could see it on the screens at the venue.

«Baby, I saw the video you posted. You got me! You’re really something!» exclaimed Rosalía. «I miss you! Baby, I wish you were here with me. I love you!» the singer confessed.
