The 2023 Premios Rolling Stone en Español are here! The inaugural edition of these awards presented by the iconic magazine aims to recognize the productions by Ibero-American artists, divided into two main categories: music awards and those focused on film and television.
A jury composed of the editors from the global and Spanish editions of Rolling Stone and leaders in the cultural industry will be responsible for selecting the winners, although the audience will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorites on their official website.
Since its inception, Rolling Stone En Español has been one of the most influential platforms in the music industry, contributing to taking Latin and Spanish music to another level. «We are excited to bring the first Rolling Stone Awards in Spanish to life,» reveals Gus Wenner, CEO of Rolling Stone. «We were clear that we wanted to get involved in different events, and one of them was awards. Five years ago, we thought about it for the first time,» says Diego Ortiz, the director of Rolling Stone en Español, to LOS40.
The ceremony hosted by Mexican actress Renata Notni, in which prominent voices in the Hispanic-Latin scene like Bad Bunny and Rosalía lead the nominations, will take place this week on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the grand theater of The Fillmore in Miami Beach. It will start at 5:20 pm EDT (GMT-4) when the artists begin to walk the red carpet. You can watch the live broadcast on TNT and HBO Max.
The highly anticipated event features a star-studded lineup. From Carin León to Ozuna, and including Ivy Queen, Tainy, and Villano Antillano, we will be able to enjoy various musical performances that will undoubtedly light up the night. Among the special appearances, was also the artist Anuel AA, but his team announced yesterday that all of his commitments will be postponed for health reasons, including this event.
