The year 2023 is treating Myke Towers well. After releasing «La Vida Es Una,» his third studio album, the Puerto Rican star continues to reap the rewards of a work filled with successes. And precisely about that studio album, the singer has spoken on the latest program of the season of LOS40 Global Show, taking advantage of his visit to Madrid and his stop at the central studios of LOS40. He has also commented on how unpredictable TikTok is and about the new talents emerging from our country.

The Success of ‘LALA’ on TikTok

«I made it with the same producer I worked with on ‘La playa.’ We already have several hits, and we continue to cook new music. It’s true that ‘LALA’ took us by surprise. It wasn’t even on the initial track list […] TikTok is something unpredictable. I make all the songs the way I like to do them, with whatever the rhythm and music inspire in me. But on TikTok, sometimes it takes a tough step, and thankfully, ‘LALA’ is taking off.»

Collaborations

«I like collaborating with anyone who makes good music, so I never judge whether I have many or few collaborations. I do what I feel I need to do musically.»

Quevedo and ‘Playa del inglés’

«Quevedo is one of the talents that I’ve liked the most recently. I also really like Saiko’s music. I was eager to do something with Quevedo. I met him when he did the session with Bizarrap, but when I got to know him as a person, he showed me such humility that I wanted to support him. I heard three songs, but when I heard ‘Playa del inglés’… When I perform it at shows, people go crazy.»

Recalling his junte with Anitta

«I Like It’ was one of my first collaborations with a big artist. I was even nervous when I went to Brazil. Anitta is a leader; people respect her. It’s impressive.»

Fans from the Beginning & Fans of Today

«Sometimes you can’t give fans very drastic changes. Some people want songs like ‘LALA,’ more commercial songs, but I also like to please the fans who have been following me since day one. I live in the challenge of pleasing everyone musically. It’s tough, but I can do it.»
