The Argentine ‘Quinto Escalón’ is one of the biggest freestyle competitions internationally. Although it disappeared in 2017, many artists were born in Parque Rivadavia in Buenos Aires. Tiago PZK, Paulo Londra and Trueno are some of them. But the list is longer.
Duki and YSY A are also part of the group of trap artists who started surprising with their rhymes in this competition and then expanded their talent worldwide. In fact, one year after the dissolution of Quinto Escalón, they joined forces with Neo Pistea to form what would become a legendary trap supergroup in Argentina: Modo Diablo.
It all started when Duki released ‘Quavo’ under the name Modo Diablo in 2018, alongside YSY A and Neo Pistea. In March of that same year, they decided to take the stage for their first show, selling out the tickets. They took their friendship to another level by living together in La Mansión, the house where they lived and created various musical projects. In fact, it was supposedly there that ‘Quavo’ and ‘Trap N’ Export’ were born, songs that marked this stage of their lives and were performed on the tour they embarked on.
Later on, both Neo, YSY and Duki decided to leave the house, but they maintained a friendship that still lasts to this day. In fact, if you’re not deeply immersed in the trap world but have heard the music of the Argentine artist, you might recognize the names of his colleagues after hearing them in his session with Bizarrap. «To YSY and Neo, know that I love you, I think of you daily,» Duki says in one of his verses.
After this musical stage, these three artists continued to develop their solo careers and became influential figures in the international scene. Their music is part of a movement that has expanded to other territories over the years and has inspired new generations to be a part of it.
But Duki, YSY A, and Neo Pistea have shown that no matter how many years go by, music brought them together, and thanks to it, they lived unforgettable moments. They also achieved new milestones and goals that they have gradually accomplished. The bond they share is so strong that we still hear the name of the supergroup in some of their songs.
And you, did you know the story of Modo Diablo?
