As we transition into Libra season from September 23rd to October 22nd, we step into the enchanting realm of balance, harmony, and love. Following the structured Virgo season and the fiery fervor of Leo, Libra season invites us to embrace these qualities. It’s a time influenced by Venus, encouraging a deep appreciation for art, aesthetics, and beauty. Use this season to indulge in your creativity and artistic efforts.

The Sign of Libra

Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac and is ruled by Venus, the planet of love, beauty, and aesthetics. Those born under the sign of Libra are known for their charm, diplomacy, and a strong desire for fairness and justice. Libras are symbolized by the Scales, representing their innate need for equilibrium and balance in all aspects of life.

They are natural peacemakers, and this time of year encourages us to seek harmony in our connections with others. It’s an ideal period for resolving conflicts, mending fences, or even embarking on new relationships, as Libra’s diplomatic nature promotes open communication and compromise.

Balance

Libra season coincides with the fall equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, a time when day and night are of equal length. Symbolically, this aligns with Libra’s emphasis on balance and equality. It’s a moment to appreciate the beauty of transition, as nature prepares for the serene and introspective months of autumn. During this time, we should also examine areas where we may be leaning too heavily in one direction. Are we neglecting our personal needs for the sake of work? Are we giving too much in our relationships without receiving in return? Libra season encourages us to recalibrate and find the middle ground.

Celia Cruz

While Gen Z might not be as familiar with her, Celia Cruz remains one of the most iconic Latin artists of the 20th century. Born on October 21, 1925, in Havana, Cuba, Celia Cruz rose to stardom in Cuba as a singer of guarachas during the 1950s. Her impact extended far beyond her homeland, as she played a crucial role in popularizing Latin music in the United States. With the well-deserved nickname ‘The Queen of Salsa,’ she garnered numerous awards, including the prestigious Grammy Award, of which she won two.

Bella Hadid

She has attained global success in her modeling career, and her Libra traits are evident as she strives for balance and has become an activist. She also uses her platforms to advocate for causes like climate change, voter registration, the Lyme disease she has personally experienced, and even aspects of the modeling industry.

Doja Cat

Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, known as Doja Cat, was born on October 21, 1995, in Los Angeles, California. She rose to international fame in 2018 with her viral music video for the song «Mooo!,» gaining a massive following on various social media platforms. While she is celebrated for her immense talent, it’s not uncommon for her to spark controversies due to her outspoken comments on sensitive topics. Nevertheless, as a highly gifted Libra, she recently released her latest album, Scarlet, today. In 2021, in a music video collab with the Weeknd, she wore a Libra-inspired costume complete with scales for their song «You Right.»

Cardi B

Cardi B was born on October 11, 1992, in Washington Heights, New York. She, a resilient Libra, transitioned from being an exotic dancer and internet celebrity to being featured on Forbes and becoming the first solo female rapper to win a Grammy Award for her debut album, Invasion of Privacy. In 2016, Cardi tweeted:

Notably, as a Libra with a strong sense of justice, she actively engages in activism, participating in racial justice protests and supporting suicide prevention programs. Her commitment to her zodiac sign is evident through her tattoo a representation of the scales encircled by the words ‘sins’ and ‘forgiveness.’ a reference to fellow Libra Lil Wayne’s lyric, “On my Libra scale I’m weighing sins and forgiveness.”

Bruno Mars

Born on October 8, 1985, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Bruno Mars is one of the best-selling artists of all time. He holds the distinction of being the first artist to receive five Diamond-certified songs in the U.S. Some of his renowned hits include «Locked Out of Heaven,» «Treasure,» «When I Was Your Man,» «24K Magic,» and «That’s What I Like,» to name just a few. Eminem & Snoop Dog

Capitalizing on the fact that they’re not just friends and iconic rap stars, they also share the Libra zodiac sign. Eminem, born with the birth name Marshall Bruce Mathers III, entered the world in Saint Joseph, Missouri, on October 17, 1972. Eminem skyrocketed to global fame with the launch of iconic albums such as The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP. His subsequent releases continued this meteoric rise, solidifying his status as one of the best-selling music artists in history.

Snoop was born just a few days later, on October 20, but in the year 1971, in Long Beach, California. Surprisingly, despite Eminem appearing much younger than his actual age, Snoop and Marshall are separated by just a one-year difference. So… Snoop needs no introduction, as his musical journey and hits speak for themselves, but he also embodies Libra’s chill, easygoing qualities. In 2017, he even posted a celebratory (but low-key) Instagram video to commemorate Libra season.
