Joey King, best known for her role as Elle in the ‘The Kissing Booth’ movies, and director Steven Piet announced their engagement on February of 2022.
For their third anniversary Steven proposed on a trip to Joshua Tree. “We went on a walk in the freezing-cold weather, and Steven described the surroundings as ‘perfectly imperfect,’” Joey shared to Vogue Magazine. “We stopped to take some photos together, and before I knew it, I was getting a tug on my jacket. I turned around, and Steven was on one knee. He said some of the most beautiful things, and we were both crying. We kept the news to ourselves for one day, just absorbing it together before we shared it with anyone.”

Since this special announcement, we’ve all been eagerly awaiting their wedding, which has finally taken place. Firstly, on September 2, People Magazine reported that the couple got married in a private and intimate ceremony with only a small gathering of family and close friends in Mallorca, Spain.
Joey and Steven had a strong desire to hold their wedding ceremony overseas and were in search of a unique, private venue that could strike a balance between grandeur and intimacy. Fortunately, they discovered their ideal location in Spain, specifically at ‘La Fortaleza,’ a fortress-turned-villa dating back to 1628.

Joey desired a classic dress with a touch of uniqueness, and after some deliberation, her stylist Jared Eng introduced her to Oscar de la Renta’s bridal collection, which she ultimately selected. The dress features large fabric flower-petal paillettes and a strapless neckline.
The couple’s friend Erik officiated the ceremony, and Sabrina Carpenter sang as Joey walked down the aisle. Steven’s nieces and nephews, along with Joey’s grandmother, performed readings. Following the service, guests proceeded to a grand party tent set up next to the main house.
