In the Tanu Muino directed version, Harry walks through a circus, meeting all its characters, such as acrobats and clowns, while he weights lift, rides a horse and even tries his tightrope-walking skills. He also flies through the sky, making us have another déjà vu with his music video «Sign of the Times but this time dressed as a circus-themed yellow bird after being being shot out of a giant cannon. Which should’ve been blue like the song lyrics ‘If I was a bluebird, I would fly to you’.

Lyrics

I’m on the roof, you’re in your airplane seatI was nose-bleeding, looking for life out thereReading your horoscope, you were just doing cocaineIn my kitchen, you never listen, I hope you’re missing me by now

If I was a bluebird, I would fly to youYou’d be the spoonDip you in honey so I could be sticking to you

Daylight, you got me cursing the daylight (ooh)Daylight, you got me cursing the daylight (ooh)Daylight, you got me calling at all times (ooh)Ain’t gonna sleep ‘til the daylight (ooh)

Out of New York, I’m on the comedown speedWe’re on bicycles, saying, «There’s life out there»You got the antidote, I’ll take one to go, go, pleaseGet the picture, cut out my middleYou ain’t got time for me right now

If I was a bluebird, I would fly to youYou’d be the spoonDip you in honey so I could be sticking to you

Daylight, you got me calling at all times (ooh)Ain’t gonna sleep ‘til the daylight (ooh)Daylight, you got me cursing the daylight (ooh)Daylight, you got me cursing the daylight (ooh)Daylight, you got me calling at all times (ooh)Ain’t gonna sleep ‘til the daylight (ooh)

If I was a bluebird, I would fly to youYou’d be the spoonDip you in honey so I could be sticking to you

James Corden Version

On May 26, 2022, during an episode of the Late Late Show, James Corden proposed the idea of shooting a low-budget ($300) music video in 3 hours for Harry’s Daylight, on the streets of Brooklyn. Despite facing initial rejections while scouting for a location, the determined first-time director Corden and his team persisted.

Finally, on their third attempt, they stumbled upon the perfect spot: a flat occupied by a group of astounded young women. Their disbelief was evident as one of them exclaimed, ‘This isn’t real!’ while covering her face in amazement when discovering that the artist was Harry.

The video turned out to be quite cool, and it has more than 10 million views.
