Travis Scott never fails to keep us talking. His latest collab song ‘KPOP’, featuring Bad Bunny and The Weeknd, had fans eagerly anticipating the explosive combination of these talented artists. Thankfully, the song resulted in a unique combination of styles.
Travis recently announced the highly anticipated release date of his album ‘Utopia’ on July 28, 2023. What makes it even more exciting –and eccentric– is his decision to present it at the pyramids of Giza (no, the presentation hasn’t been cancelled), as revealed on his social media.
Today, Travis Scott made an exciting announcement through his social media about his upcoming mysterious theatrical film. It isn’t only written and directed by Travis himself, but also co-directed by acclaimed filmmakers Gaspar Noé, Nicolas Winding-Refn, Harmony Korine, Valdimar Jóhannsson, and Kahlil Joseph.
Accompanied by vintage-ish poster art, the announcement shows Travis on a motorcycle, the film’s release date, and the intriguing sentence «utopia is wherever you are,« which he previously used in the announcement of his upcoming album.
However, an interesting twist emerges with the appearance of A24’s logo on the poster, as it obviously leads people to assume that they produced the film. Variety, asked the company about Scott’s project, but A24 denied any attribution to the film.

Additionally, a 32-second trailer for the film has been released, without credits or distribution information, just the film title at the end with the word ‘Uforia’ a bit hidden. The trailer features a montage of cinematic shots with no further context, but it does look artistic. We can see Travis in exotic locations and cabs careening through city streets.
Travis has been tight-lipped about the movie’s synopsis, but according to AMC, the film promises a surreal and psychedelic journey, featuring a mind-bending visual odyssey paired with the captivating sounds of his upcoming album ‘UTOPIA’.
