We live in a time when everything moves very fast, and the music industry is no different. There are artists who release practically a new track every week or two, and if you take a break, it’s called a temporary retirement, not a vacation. Few artists would dare to wait ten years to release an album. But Bruno Mars has done just that.
“My album is done.” That’s the phrase he shared on X on Epiphany night, and it was a gift for many—especially for those who have been waiting a decade for a new solo album from the Hawaiian artist.
My album is done.
— Bruno Mars (@BrunoMars) January 5, 2026
It was back in 2016 when he released 24K Magic, an album that established him as an essential artist and earned him numerous awards and recognitions. It was that dreaded third album that can define an artist’s career—in his case, for the better. For many, that work marked a turning point in contemporary pop.
However, it seems that in 2026, the creator of “The Lazy Song” has bigger plans. On January 5, Bruno posted on X: “My album is finished.” This marks his first full-length project in a decade.
We already know the official title: The Romantic. The album will be released on February 27, 2026. But for those who don’t want to wait more than a month, there’s good news — the first single drops on January 9.
Mars has also confirmed a highly anticipated international tour: The Romantic Tour, with stops in the United States, Canada, and several European cities.
