Are the Black Eyed Peas Reuniting? Will.i.am Drops Intriguing Hints to Fergie

"This is for Fergie: you know what we have to do," revealed the vocalist in a recent interview

This 2026 has started strong in terms of music news. New tours, unexpected releases, and now, possible reunions never imagined before. Today, we woke up to statements from one of the members of the Black Eyed Peas hinting at a possible reunion.

Full Lineup in Brazil?

These suspicions come from recent statements by will.i.am in one of his latest interviews. The story of their separation goes back a while: the group went their separate ways in 2017. Since then, they have made some special appearances together, but always with a notable absence — Fergie, one of the original members. At the time, the group was made up of will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap, and Taboo, until Fergie made a shocking announcement about her future in the band. Over time, her stance grew firmer, and a reunion seemed increasingly unlikely.

The artist said in the interview that he has a project planned for everyone, but it must take place in Brazil: “If we bring back the group we had between 2003 and 2011, the Black Eyed Peas, it has to happen in Brazil, at Carnival—that’s the goal. So, Brazilians, you’ve heard it here.”

It’s clear that these words don’t confirm an official full-band reunion, especially because their main member, Fergie, is still absent. However, will.i.am’s statements leave pretty clear clues. It doesn’t seem like a random comment, and the singer also dedicated some very direct words to his former bandmate:
“This is for Fergie: you know what we have to do and it has to be in Brazil. I love you. You’re my sister.”

More than an Instagram Post

But hopes don’t come only from these revealing statements. Very recently, Fergie shared a picture on her social media with her former bandmates, visibly emotional. In the post, she celebrated her birthday surrounded by her three ex-bandmates:

“Finally, we could celebrate our birthdays together. What a special night with my brothers, filled with so much love,” the singer wrote on Instagram.

We don’t know much more about whether Fergie will return to complete the long-awaited original 2004 lineup. What we do know for sure is that everyone is eager to see the full group back on stage, with new material and the hit songs that made us all groove years ago.
