After more than six years away from the touring stage, Ariana Grande returned to live performance on June 6, 2026, launching the Eternal Sunshine Tour at Oakland Arena in Oakland, California.
More than 17,000 fans filled the venue, many of whom had waited nearly seven years to see her on stage again. From the moment she rose in a lift to the sound of deafening cheers, the emotion inside the arena was immediate, setting the tone for a night built on anticipation and release.
Grande paused to take in the crowd, blowing kisses and holding a hand to her heart in a visibly emotional opening moment. The response from the audience made it clear this was more than just a concert—it was a homecoming. It marked her first tour since the 2019 Sweetener World Tour, closing a long gap between live eras and reintroducing her to the stage on a massive scale.
Since then, Grande has released two albums, Positions and Eternal Sunshine, and is set to release a third, Petal, during the tour on July 31.
She also expanded her recent era with the 2025 Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead, which added six new tracks, several of which made their way into the opening night setlist. That material, alongside her broader catalog, shaped a 23-song performance spanning five acts and covering much of her discography.
The Oakland opening night setlist ultimately reflected that full scope, balancing new material with career-defining hits. The show leaned heavily into Positions and Eternal Sunshine, while still drawing from earlier eras across her catalog, with the exception of Sweetener.
Across its five-act structure, the 23-song set traced her evolution as a performer and marked a deliberate return to the stage with both intimacy and scale.
