Karol G is entering one of the most introspective chapters of her career—and she’s doing it on her own terms. In a deeply personal new interview with Playboy, the global superstar peeled back the curtain on her private life, revealing her most vulnerable self—Carolina—while reflecting on heartbreak, growth, and what comes next.
Partly inspired by the candid, unapologetic energy of Sofía Vergara, Karol G spoke openly about the emotional challenges that shaped her recent journey—and why walking away from love became a defining act of self-worth.
The Colombian hitmaker described 2025 as one of the toughest years of her life emotionally. Stepping away from the spotlight, she retreated to Hawaii in search of peace, clarity, and a reset.
It was a period of reflection—one that forced her to confront her emotions and ultimately choose herself.
Inside Karol G and Feid’s Breakup
One of the most headline-making revelations was her breakup with Colombian singer Feid. Contrary to speculation, Karol G confirmed that she made the decision to end the relationship. Her words struck a powerful chord.
“I’m leaving everything behind. I’m single and, to be honest, I’ve always believed that my most transformative moments happen when I’m alone. As a Latina from a traditional family, you’re taught to give yourself completely to relationships, to the point of losing yourself… I think you have to work a lot on yourself for a relationship to work. You also have to do the work to walk away when you realize it’s not going to work. When I ended my last relationship, at first I thought, ‘Wow, I’m here again!’ But then I saw it as, ‘Wow, how beautiful that I had the courage to say I didn’t want to be there anymore!’”
The message is clear: for Karol G, knowing when to walk away is just as important as knowing how to love.
