Since the release of Mamma Mia 2 in 2018, fans have been waiting for a third film, and it seems like it could actually happen. Recently, Christine Baranski, who plays Tanya, met with Judy Kramer, the producer behind the first two movies, to talk about the possibility of another sequel.

“I was in London with Judy Kramer at our favorite watering hole, she is planning Mamma Mia 3. She gave me the narrative plotline of how it’s going to happen. That’s all I can say! But, it’s not like, ‘Oh, I wish it could happen!’ Judy Kramer makes things happen,” Baranski said.

Even Amanda Seyfried, who has played Sophie since the first film, is on board. She has openly said she would love for Sabrina Carpenter to play her daughter in the next movie. She hasn’t just talked about a possible third Mamma Mia! movie—she’s made it clear that if Sabrina Carpenter is interested, she’ll do whatever she can to make it happen.
