“It’s like a goodbye, but don’t take it too seriously.” With that, Colombian hitmaker Feid announced he’s stepping away from the stage for a while. After a nonstop year of global shows and creative pushes, he seems to be pausing to recharge, reflect, and realign before entering a new phase of his career.
In an Instagram post, he thanked his team and fans, saying that 2025 had been the most amazing and important year of his life, and asked everyone to keep listening to his songs like “Princesa,” “Body,” and “Sagrado.”
Fans quickly flooded the comments—some wishing him rest and happiness, others begging him not to stay away too long. “My sweet boy, don’t take too long,” one fan wrote. Another said, “If this sounds like a goodbye, we love you and will be waiting for you in Chile at the Viña Festival.”
There’s reason to believe Feid’s break is about more than just rest. Over the past year, he’s taken on more creative control, producing and mixing much of his latest album, “Ferxxo Vol X: Sagrado,” himself—a project he described as a more “pure” version of his artistic vision. In recent interviews, he’s opened up about the mental and emotional strain that came with that process. In any case, the Colombian artist has not gone into further specific details that might hint at the real reason for his break.
His decision may also reflect a need for creative regeneration—stepping away from the constant touring cycle to find new inspiration and prepare for the next era of his sound. And with his partner, Karol G, also slowing down her professional commitments, it seems both artists are taking time to rest and enjoy life offstage together.
2025 has been one of Feid’s biggest years yet. He toured Europe, performed at major festivals like Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza Paris, and Summer Sonic in Japan, and even earned a Guinness World Record for his 360° concert in Medellín. He also hosted the “Coffee Party” in Mexico City, drawing over 50,000 fans to a free event combining music and coffee, and was named ASCAP’s Latin Songwriter/Performer of the Year for the second year in a row.
After such an intense and groundbreaking run, Feid’s temporary break feels like a necessary pause—a moment to rest, reset, and prepare for whatever the next chapter of Ferxxo brings.
