Denise Richards and her husband Aaron Phypers have officially ended their six-year marriage after Phypers filed for divorce on July 7, 2025. The filing, which cites “irreconcilable differences,” reveals much about the couple’s personal and financial life, shedding light on the reasons behind their separation and the complexities they now face.

Richards, famed for her roles in Wild Things and other Hollywood projects, married Phypers in 2018. The couple has kept much of their private life under the public eye, notably through Richards’ reality TV show, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, which chronicled aspects of their relationship and family life.

Although the two have no children together, Denise is a mother to three daughters — Sami (20) and Lola (19), from her previous marriage to Charlie Sheen, and Eloise (13), whom she adopted as a single mother in 2011.

Divorce Filing Details

In the documents filed in court, Aaron Phypers listed their separation date as July 4, 2025. He cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of their split and is seeking spousal support. The divorce papers also request the division of assets and debts, including personal belongings such as power tools, a motorcycle, and a sports car — indicating the couple’s complex shared property situation.

One of the most revealing parts of the filing details the couple’s extravagant lifestyle and financial situation. Phypers claims he has had no income for the past year after closing his wellness business in 2024.

Phypers outlined their monthly expenses as approximately $105,000, broken down as follows:

  • $25,000 on food
  • $20,000 on clothing
  • $18,000 on rent
  • $15,000 on dining out
  • $15,000 on entertainment
  • $8,000 on utilities

This detailed financial picture highlights the tensions around money and lifestyle that may have contributed to their marital breakdown.

The ‘OnlyFans Factor’

Denise Richards publicly embraced her OnlyFans platform as a way to «empower herself and connect with fans.» Despite initial hesitations about the site’s adult content reputation, she has become one of its top creators, with her husband Aaron playing a key role behind the scenes. Richards praised his involvement, saying he helped curate the content by selecting photos and advising on what appeals to subscribers.

Their OnlyFans success brought Denise over $250,000 a month, and she revealed that the platform actually expanded her career opportunities, leading to more acting roles where she was cast as the “trophy wife” or “sexy one.” This new career avenue, however, also introduced new dynamics into their relationship and public image.

Despite the divorce filing, Richards has yet to publicly comment on the split. Earlier in 2025, during her reality show’s premiere, Richards stated she would “never get divorced again,” highlighting how unexpected this split is for fans and observers.
