On September 8, singer D4vd made headlines around the world—though not only because of the world tour he’s currently on. That day, a decomposed and dismembered body was found inside a car registered in his name. Workers and neighbors at a Hollywood car depot had reported a strong odor. When authorities arrived, they opened the trunk of a Tesla and made the discovery.
The body was at first impossible to identify, but after an autopsy it was confirmed to be 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, a Latina girl who had been missing since April 2024 in Riverside County. The condition of the remains suggested she had been dead for quite some time.
So far, authorities haven’t released more details, but speculation has grown around a tattoo the victim had on her right index finger that read “Shhh”—the same design the 20-year-old singer recently got in the same spot.

The relationship between the singer and the victim is still unclear, but photos from two years ago are already circulating online that allegedly show them together.
Lyrics from one of his songs mentioning a girl named Celeste are also resurfacing. Some speculate they may have started dating when she was just 12 years old.
For now, D4vd is continuing his Withered World Tour and has said he’s cooperating with authorities to help clarify the case. Reports suggest the Tesla is part of a larger fleet of cars he owns, which other people also had access to.
Since the discovery, he hasn’t posted on Instagram—his last update was the announcement of the deluxe edition of his album. The case is still being investigated as a homicide, but so far, no arrests have been made.
