If you’re not already familiar, the LOS40 Music Awards are Spain’s premier music awards—think of them as the Spanish equivalent of the Grammys or the MTV VMAs.

It’s important to note that these awards are not limited to Spain. LOS40 is the number one music radio network in Latin America as well, making these celebrations highly significant across the region and for Hispanic and Latin music in Spain.

The LOS40 Music Awards have built up an impressive track record over the years, showcasing performances by music icons at their highly anticipated galas: from Beyoncé, Robbie Williams, Taylor Swift, Shakira, and Kylie Minogue, to Nelly Furtado, Ricky Martin, Juanes, Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, Rosalía, Anitta, and Nicki Nicole, among others.

This year, the LOS40 Music Awards Santander 2025 will take place on November 7 in Valencia, Spain—a gesture of solidarity following the tragedy caused by the DANA floods in the region in October 2025.

The first confirmed performers for the 20th edition include Aitana, Dani Fernández, and Valeria Castro.

A Celebration Born from Radio Legacy

The awards are hosted annually by Los 40—Spain’s leading music radio station, part of PRISA. The LOS40 Music Awards were launched in 2006 to mark the station’s 40th anniversary and have since become a premier gala celebrating both Spanish and international musical talent.

Since their inception, the awards have taken place in various cities, including Madrid, Barcelona, and Palma de Mallorca. In 2025, to mark their 20th anniversary, the awards will be held for the first time in Valencia at the brand-new Roig Arena. Ticket demand has been so high that the show has already set a sales record and is sold out.

For U.S. Fans: How to Tune In

If you’re in the U.S., you won’t miss out. The event is increasingly accessible via live streaming on LOS40’s digital platforms and YouTube. In 2024, it was broadcast across Latin America and the United States via YouTube, and the LOS40 website.

Additionally, there’s often a preshow—a red carpet–style segment featuring interviews, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and fashion highlights—streamed before the main performances.
