«There might be some tracks. I hear music everywhere.» These were the comments from Travis Kelce that have sent fans of Taylor Swift, recently named the Artist of the 21st Century, into a frenzy. «You know I can’t say anything about that,» the NFL player added before dropping this small hint, which has been widely interpreted as a teaser for new music on the horizon.
On Monday, January 13, Kelce appeared on the The Pat McAfee Show. While discussing his career, the host couldn’t resist bringing up the love of his life—none other than the celebrated artist behind hits like ‘Shake It Off’ and ‘Look What You Made Me Do.’

Although it’s been barely a month since the conclusion of The Eras Tour, a nearly two-year global tour that visited major cities across Asia, America, and Europe, fans are eager for news about what’s next for Swift. Taylor’s latest album is her 11th solo studio work, The Tortured Poets Department, released in April 2024.
Kelce also revealed that he serves as Swift’s «test listener» for her music before its release. However, he admitted he’s a pretty lenient guinea pig: while he listens a lot, he doesn’t consider himself an expert in the arts, leaving constructive criticism or innovative ideas to others.
«I’m here to see how far she can go,» he said, describing himself as more of a motivational coach than a musical advisor. While he may not directly contribute to her creative process, he plays a role in inspiring her, reportedly influencing songs like So High School and The Academy.
«The greatest icon in the music industry,» was how Pat McAfee referred to Swift when speaking with Kelce. While the compliment might have seemed like flattery, the facts back it up. As Billboard recently reported, Swift has become the artist with the most number-one albums in the U.S. so far this century.

Not only that, but Swift has also been named Artist of the Year in 2009, 2025, 2023, and 2024, making her the first person to earn this title four times.
«The country-turned-pop superstar has been a Billboard chart fixture since her debut in 2006—achieving 14 number-one albums and 12 number-one Hot 100 singles in the first quarter of the century. Swift also became the first artist to claim the entire top 10 of the Hot 100 in a single week, a feat she accomplished twice, in 2022 and 2024,» Billboard noted in their recent ranking of century-defining artists.
