The Latin GRAMMY-nominated Colombian band TIMØ has quickly made a name for themselves as one of Latin music’s most exciting and beloved pop-rock acts. Known for their signature blend of genres, the band aims to be more than just a voice on the radio. They want to feel like a friend to their listeners, creating songs that connect through shared, universal experiences.
Now entering a new creative chapter, TIMØ returns with an upbeat, disco-inspired track titled ‘Vino Rosé’. The song draws influence from legendary acts like Earth, Wind & Fire, with subtle touches of bossa nova, all wrapped in polished pop production.
“This song was inspired by groups like Earth, Wind & Fire—artists we grew up listening to. We love the vibe because it’s super optimistic and full of energy, like when something turns out great even though you didn’t plan it. That kind of spontaneity and joy is exactly what we wanted to capture,” the band shares.
With shimmering strings and disco-style brass adding a vibrant flair, ‘Vino Rosé’ pulls listeners into a fresh soundscape for TIMØ—one that channels the early 2000s, a musical era that continues to influence the band’s evolving style.
‘Vino Rosé’ was born on one of TIMØ’s road trips, as Andrés recalls: “That’s when Alejo started playing a few chords inspired by a Brazilian band called Natiruts. We started improvising a melody just for fun, singing in a way that mimicked Portuguese—and that’s how ‘Vino Rosé’ came to life.”
The track was written and produced by TIMØ, with additional collaboration from Sebastián Avilés, Mauricio Rengifo, Andrés Torres, and Nicolás Galat—a team known for delivering memorable pop hits.
The release of ‘Vino Rosé’ follows TIMØ’s exciting two nominations at this year’s Premios Nuestra Tierra. They were recognized in the categories of “Best Duo or Group” and “Best Pop Song” for their fan-favorite track ‘Luz.’
This marks the band’s second release of 2025, coming on the heels of their vibrant cumbia-inspired single ‘Diamante’ with Cardellino. The year is already off to a dynamic start for TIMØ, who are also celebrating new collaborations like their recent team-up with Alex Ponce on ‘No Volveré.’
With its feel-good vibe and infectious groove, ‘Vino Rosé’ is set to become another fan favorite. Now streaming on all major platforms—check it out!
