Marvel Studios is flipping the script with Thunderbolts, a film that brings together some of the MCU’s most complex—and morally gray—characters.

Think of Thunderbolts as Marvel’s answer to the Suicide Squad. The film follows a team of antiheroes, former villains, and government operatives recruited by the U.S. government for high-risk missions that typical Avengers wouldn’t (or couldn’t) take on. While each member has their own motives and troubled past, they’re forced to work together under government control—though trust is in short supply.

The lineup includes:

• Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), the fan-favorite assassin introduced in Black Widow
• Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), trying to atone for his past
• John Walker / U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), the conflicted ex-Captain America
• Red Guardian (David Harbour), Russia’s answer to Cap
• Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), the phasing antihero from Ant-Man and the Wasp
