Even Mariah Carey wouldn’t start celebrating Christmas this early! The Jonas Brothers (Kevin, Joe, and Nick) have surprised fans by announcing their next big project—a Christmas movie—right in the middle of January. Scheduled to release in December 2025, this festive film marks their return to Disney, the company that launched their careers.
Longtime fans will remember the Jonas Brothers’ early days with Disney Channel, starring in projects like Camp Rock and the series Jonas. Now, the brothers are teaming up with Disney again for a holiday movie that will stream exclusively on Disney+. Naturally, their announcement was filled with charm and nostalgia.
The Jonas Brothers shared the news by recreating the famous cue card scene from Love Actually. In a video inspired by Andrew Lincoln’s memorable moment outside Keira Knightley’s door, the three brothers hold up cue cards in front of a house. The cards read: “Hi, we’re the Jonas Brothers. I’m Nick, I’m Joe, I’m Kevin. Sorry to bother you, but we’re making a Christmas movie. Coming out this holiday season. Only on Disney+.”

According to Variety, the Jonas Brothers’ Christmas movie follows the story of the three brothers as they face a series of obstacles trying to get from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families. It’s being described as something like Home Alone—but with thirty-somethings.
The movie is being produced by the Jonas Brothers themselves and will be directed by Jessica Yu, who received an Emmy nomination for her 2024 TV movie Quiz Lady. For fans, the highlight is that the film will feature exclusive new songs by the Jonas Brothers, written with the help of top music producer Justin Tranter.
This project also marks the Jonas Brothers’ return to Disney after 15 years. The last time they worked with the company was back in 2010, when they starred in the series Jonas.
