Tate McRae shot to international fame with her hit ‘Greedy’ and has quickly become one of today’s most powerful pop stars. The Canadian singer is clearly in a great moment in her career—and there’s no doubt that plenty of artists are eager to collaborate with her. But the question is: who does Tate want to collaborate with?

At Lollapalooza Buenos Aires 2025, Tate McRae and Argentine singer Emilia Mernes finally met. The two shared an epic backstage moment, greeting each other with a big hug. Tate, wearing an Argentina football jersey and smiling ear to ear, and Emilia, in a stylish camo outfit, looked thrilled to connect. The photo of their meeting quickly went viral and sent fans into a frenzy.

It’s easy to see why—both artists have a lot in common: they sing, dance, and consistently release chart-topping hits. One sings in English, the other in Spanish, but the energy is the same.

However, the moment didn’t end there. The next day, after performing at Lollapalooza Argentina, Tate traveled to the Chile edition of the festival. In an interview with LOS40 Chile, she talked about how exciting it was to meet Emilia and what the experience meant to her.

“Yesterday you were in Argentina and you met Emilia Mernes—are there any Spanish-speaking artists you’d like to collaborate with?” The journalist asks.“I’d love to. I love the culture, the dancing, and the energy here. So I really think it’ll happen at some point. Fingers crossed,” Tate replies with a smile.

She also had some kind words for Emilia: “She’s beautiful, she’s amazing […] We literally met yesterday, but I think we’ve been following each other on TikTok for a long time for some reason, and we just said, ‘Let’s meet up and hang out.’”

Nothing’s been officially announced yet, but considering both artists’ musical styles, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them team up. Honestly, a high-energy, dance-filled video with Emilia and Tate could be something unforgettable.
