Shocking Price Revealed for an Item Touched by Shakira

For some, it might seem crazy, while for others, it’s a way to feel connected to someone they deeply admire

How much would you pay for an object that your idol has touched? For some, it might seem crazy, while for others, it’s a way to feel connected to someone they deeply admire. That’s probably what Judith, the owner of the house where Shakira took a photo sitting on a curb in the Boston neighborhood, downtown Barranquilla (Colombia), was thinking.

The ‘Te Felicito’ singer took advantage of a stop in her hometown during her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour to attend (in disguise, of course) La Guacherna, the pre-festival celebration of her city. Dressed up, she decided to casually pose on Judith’s curb, sharing a picture where she can be seen stepping on a leaf. Well, it’s that very leaf that the homeowner is now selling for one million Colombian pesos (about $243). It may sound like a joke, but it’s real.

And truth be told, Judith still has plenty to monetize, as her curb has already become a tourist attraction for those visiting Barranquilla.

This phenomenon isn’t new. Over the years, various celebrity-related items have been auctioned for considerable sums. For example, a guitar belonging to Noel Gallagher sold for €156,583 in 2024, and a fake nail lost by Lady Gaga during a concert was purchased for $12,000. These cases reflect the passion of fans who want to own a piece of their idols.

Where is Shakira’s curb in Barranquilla?

If you’re planning to visit Barranquilla soon, in addition to seeing the iconic Shakira statue and her childhood home, you can also check out the now-famous curb (and if you’re lucky, maybe even get Judith’s leaf). Just enter the following address into Google Maps or your preferred navigation app: Cl. 63 #45-64, Norte, Centro Histórico, right in the heart of Barranquilla, Colombia.
