Shakira Forced to Cancel Another Concert Due to Safety Concerns

Her concert at Chile's National Stadium will be rescheduled

Shakira is currently on what might be one of the biggest tours of her career: Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. There’s no doubt she has put a lot of care into every detail, making sure her fans have an unforgettable experience. Her return to the stage has been just as she dreamed—big, exciting, and emotional for the millions who have been waiting for this moment.

But not everything has gone as planned. Even before the tour started, it was postponed, and in the past few weeks, two concerts had to be canceled. Now, unfortunately for her fans in Chile, her show at Estadio Nacional in Santiago has also been suspended.

Shakira addressed the situation, apologizing to her fans and sharing how difficult it is to arrive in a country and not be able to perform. She explained that the concert had to be ‘rescheduled due to circumstances beyond my control or my team’s control.’

In a message to her fans, she wrote, “I have worked tirelessly, day and night, on every little detail to create an unforgettable experience for my fans—one they truly deserve, just like we’ve enjoyed together in the concerts I’ve done so far.”

“When an artist travels to another country, their production and team rely directly on local producers. My staff and I fully trusted that the production company hired by the local promoter would carefully follow the specifications we provided to ensure a show of this scale could take place,” Shakira explained, pointing out the lack of proper execution.

The Reason Why Shakira Had to Cancel Another Concert

Because of this, the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour has faced yet another cancellation. “The ground where my stage was supposed to be is uneven and not properly stabilized, which means I can’t guarantee the safety of my band, my dancers, my fans, or myself.”

Shakira made it clear that ‘there are two things I would never compromise on’—the safety of her team and the safety of her fans. “I would never give you a show that doesn’t meet the quality standards you deserve.”

Even though this situation is frustrating, she finds comfort in knowing she’ll be back: “I’m certain I’ll return to Chile very soon to bring you the show I promised, just as you deserve—even if I have to personally inspect the ground and check every last bolt holding up my stage.”
