In recent years, Selena Gomez has stayed consistently busy—earning top industry nominations for her acting work, collaborating with major music artists, and building her beauty brand Rare Beauty into one of the market’s top sellers. Still, there’s been one place she’s noticeably absent from: the stage. Her last tour was Revival Tour in 2016, and while she’s continued to release music, she hasn’t returned to touring since.
Gomez released her latest album with her fiancé Benny Blanco, I Said I Love You First, but there’s been no announcement or mention of a possible concert run to follow.
In her recent guest appearance on Jake Shane’s podcast Therapuss, Gomez surprised fans by revealing that there’s one song that might just convince her to get back on the road: Who Says, the empowering anthem she originally performed with her former band, Selena Gomez & The Scene. “It’s the only reason I’d even consider going on tour again,” she admitted—an emotional nod to one of the most personal and beloved tracks in her catalog.
“Performing this song is pretty much the only reason I’d consider touring again — singing ‘Who Says’ like 17 times.”

During the conversation, Selena opened up about her mixed feelings toward touring. “Going on tour is such a bittersweet experience for me… Sometimes I wonder if there’s a new way to do it,” she said. “Because, you know, when people ask me, I usually say no—but I’m sure there’s a way.”
Gomez famously canceled the European leg of her Revival Tour nine years ago due to health issues related to lupus, which included anxiety and depression. Since then, she’s focused on her physical and emotional well-being, speaking openly about her mental health challenges and becoming one of the most important voices in entertainment on the subject.
Selena also spoke candidly about how intense media scrutiny has impacted her mental health—particularly the way her personal life is consumed and distorted.
“People believe 100% of what they see first. Then you can’t make them believe anything else,” she said. “And if you’re really that curious about someone’s personal life, well… that’s a little weird. You should probably focus on your own.”
Despite her efforts to maintain privacy, Gomez did open up about one current source of joy: her engagement to producer Benny Blanco. The couple is set to marry in September. “I’ve never felt more sure about anything,” she shared.
Today, far from the spotlight’s pressure, Gomez seems grounded and at peace, prioritizing what brings her true fulfillment. That Who Says might be the bridge that leads her back to the stage says a lot—it’s not about fame or spectacle. It’s about a song that still connects her to who she is and to the fans who’ve been there since the beginning.
