Fans of Rosalía are getting impatient, waiting for even the smallest confirmation about the release date of her fourth studio album. Back in late 2024, the singer herself announced she’d be returning this year with a new LP, but months have gone by since then without any clear signs.
In a recent interview with ELLE, Rosalía opened up about the project, which— for the first time since Los Ángeles—does not include her longtime collaborator El Guincho. With the whole music industry now glued to her socials for clues about the record, Rosalía has finally shared a new Instagram post.
It’s her first fully organic post in two months. “The end of summer is official,” she wrote on Monday, September 1, alongside three photos. Two were selfies—Rosalía looking straight into the camera in a black swimsuit, hair down, feet in the pool. The third image, though, feels more like a statement of intent, one that fans are convinced could be a subtle hint about her upcoming album.
What’s the Clue?
In the second photo Rosalía shared, two airplane trails cut across the blue sky, leaving behind a white cross. It’s the same symbol she’s been posting over the past few months—and it now seems almost certain that this Christian-inspired imagery will play a role in her new music. Some fans are even speculating the album could be titled LUX.
Naturally, the comments came pouring in: “Another cross, are you trying to tell us something?” … “Drop the album already” … “Another hidden message.”
For now, all that’s left is to wait and see if Rosalía will release a new single—or even the full album—before the end of 2025. After all, she did say it was one of her big goals for the year. What do you think?
