Can you picture how Rosalía and Sean Paul would sound together on a track? Rosalía is one of the most influential artists of the moment, earning her place through hard work—not just in her home country, Spain, but around the world. That’s why every new release from the Catalan singer is met with high anticipation. Still, despite the hints dropped here and there, we don’t yet know when she’ll officially return with new music.

As a New Year’s resolution, she vowed to release a new album. Then came Charli XCX’s BRAT Summer, and with it, the suggestion that the spotlight should soon shift to artists like Lorde, Haim, and, of course, la Motomami herself. Rumors and fan theories about R4 (Rosalía’s fourth studio album) have been circulating, but there’s still no official confirmation.

But don’t panic—there is some good news. Just last month, Sean Paul revealed in a Mexican radio interview that he had hit the studio with Rosalía. According to him, the two worked closely on a new track that’s set to drop sometime in 2025.

“We’ve been working with different people in the Latin scene. Recently, we did a song with Rosalía. Yes, we’re hoping it’ll come out by the end of the year,” Sean Paul shared during a radio interview.

Now that the collaboration is confirmed, a few questions naturally follow: Will this be a fusion of flamenco, pop, and dancehall? Could this track be the first teaser from R4? Or, on the other hand, is it part of Sean Paul’s own upcoming project—like ‘New Woman,’ her collab with LISA on his solo debut Alter Ego?

Sean Paul and His Connection to the Latin World

Although the Jamaican producer admitted he still has some Spanish to brush up on, this isn’t his first time teaming up with a Spanish-speaking artist. Over the past decade, Sean Paul has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Latin music. Highlights include:

  • ‘Contra La Pared’ with J Balvin – a high-energy blend of reggaeton and dancehall that lit up charts in 2019.
  • ‘Passion Whine’ with Farruko and Wisin – a 2014 dancefloor classic.
  • ‘Kármika’ with Karol G and Bad Gyal – a sultry urban hit featured on Mañana Será Bonito.
  • ‘Shake Señora’ with Pitbull and T-Pain – a modern, Caribbean-flavored take on Jump in the Line.
  • ‘Hey Baby’ with Pitbull – a crossover hit mixing dancehall, electronic beats, and Latin pop.
  • ‘Niña Bonita’ with Feid – included in Mor, No Le Temas a la Oscuridad.
  • ‘Bailando’ with Enrique Iglesias and Gente de Zona – where Sean Paul added his unmistakable style to one of Iglesias’ biggest global hits.

These collaborations show just how versatile Sean Paul is—and how naturally he connects with diverse audiences. His upcoming track with Rosalía only adds to that legacy, and all signs point to something big.
