The collaboration between Romeo Santos and Prince Royce has stirred up major excitement in the urban music scene, especially among bachata fans. Listeners are eagerly awaiting the release of Better Late Than Never, an album that brings together two key figures representing different generations within the genre.

In a recent interview with Billboard, both artists addressed questions about a possible worldwide tour to perform the album live. Romeo Santos confirmed that they are thinking about a global tour, aiming to offer fans a unique show where it’s not just alternating performances but a musical journey integrating both of their repertoires. The goal is to create a complete experience for everyone—whether they are fans of one, the other, or both.

«Obviously, yes, we are considering a tour, God willing, and a worldwide one so people can enjoy both of our repertoires. And when it happens, God willing, we don’t want it to feel like a show where he goes onstage, sings his setlist, then I sing mine. No. We want it to be an experience where, whether you’re a fan of Royce and me or just a fan of him or just of me, it’s a musical journey through both of our repertoires,» Santos revealed to the outlet.

Prince Royce also shared that while this collaboration took time to come together, they found the perfect moment to unite their styles and talents. He admitted feeling pressure to meet audience expectations since blending two distinct styles of bachata, each with its own signature, was a creative challenge. Still, he wanted to create an album that showcases the diversity and richness of their sounds.

Although Santos and Royce have shared stages and collaborated on occasions before, this is their first full-length joint project. In the interview, they joked about how the public sees them as true bachata superheroes, even calling themselves the “Batman and Robin” of the genre.

The album features 13 tracks, four of which were co-written by both artists. The first song they recorded with the album in mind was “Mi Plan,” during a session in St. Barts in 2023. Better Late Than Never combines styles ranging from classic bachata to modern, with afrobeat influences and other rhythms designed to capture the audience’s attention from the start.

Romeo Santos arrives at this project having solidified his solo career with albums like Formula, Vol. 3, where he experimented with bachata fusions alongside urban and pop genres. Meanwhile, Prince Royce has pushed the genre’s boundaries with albums like Llamada Perdida, blending bachata with pop, R&B, and collaborations across diverse music scenes. When discussing this work, both acknowledge they represent different generations within the same musical universe.

Better Late Than Never is out from November 28, 2025, marking a meeting point between two established careers and answering years of fans’ wishes. Beyond being a collection of hits, this album aims to reflect the artistic and personal moment both artists are experiencing now.

The countdown has officially begun.
