Rauw Alejandro Announces New Album ‘Cosa Nuestra: Capítulo 0’ — Release Date and Tracklist
The project pays tribute to Afro-Caribbean rhythms and Puerto Rican bomba, presenting itself as a modern homage to the Caribbean
Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Rauw Alejandro has confirmed that his upcoming album, Cosa Nuestra: Capítulo 0, will be released on September 26 under Sony Music Latin. The artist, a two-time Latin Grammy winner and four-time Grammy nominee, revealed the date in a video posted on Instagram, where he is seen playing the traditional Puerto Rican betting game Las Picas, which pointed to 9/26 as the key day. The post, protected by the password “ELCARIBE,” referenced his Caribbean roots, one of the central themes of the project.
Along with the announcement, Alejandro previewed part of the tracklist on Spotify, where unreleased titles appeared. Among them are “Carita Linda,” “Buenos Términos,” “GuabanSexxx,” and “Santa,” as well as tracks presented under phrases that highlight the album’s diverse and genre-fluid spirit, such as “pa’ enorgullecerse,” “pa’ llorar bellak@,” and “pa’ arrepentirse bailando.” The project pays tribute to Afro-Caribbean rhythms and Puerto Rican bomba, presenting itself as a modern homage to the Caribbean.
Capítulo 0 is conceived as the prequel to Cosa Nuestra, released in 2024 and currently a finalist at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards in the category of Best Latin Album of the Year. That record debuted at number one on the Latin Albums chart and at number six on the Billboard 200, while also placing all 15 of its tracks on Spotify’s Global Top 200, an unprecedented milestone for a Latin album.
The announcement comes on the heels of the success of the Cosa Nuestra World Tour, which sold out venues in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Europe, and will begin its Latin American leg on October 13 in Santiago, Chile, with stops in Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Bogotá, Monterrey, Mexico City, and Guadalajara.
Since his breakthrough in 2016, Rauw Alejandro has built an international career with collaborations alongside artists such as Shakira, Selena Gomez, and Pharrell Williams, and a discography that places him among the most influential figures in contemporary Latin music.
