Prime Video’s Fallout Season 2: Cast, Episodes, and Official Release Dates

This season digs even deeper into a world that has already become a global phenomenon

Fallout, originally a video game series, made its leap to television in 2024 with a first season that blended nuclear survival and post-apocalyptic chaos. Now, Fallout Season 2 is finally arriving on Prime Video on December 17, 2025. The new season will feature eight episodes.

However, unlike Season 1 — where every episode dropped at once — this time they’ll be released weekly from December 17, with the finale scheduled for February 4, 2026. This shift gives viewers time to sit with each episode, unpack the narrative tension, debate theories online, and keep the show’s momentum going for almost two months.

The main cast returns led by Ella Purnell, who steps back into the role of the resilient Lucy. Joining her again are Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, and more.

Season 2 also introduces several high-profile additions. Justin Theroux joins as Mr. House, the enigmatic tycoon who controls New Vegas. Macaulay Culkin appears as an eccentric “mad genius” whose identity remains under wraps. And Kumail Nanjiani plays a Brotherhood of Steel member with strong military leanings.

What to Expect from Fallout 2

Season 2 digs even deeper into a world that has already become a global phenomenon. With more than 100 million viewers tuning in for its first season. The new season picks up exactly where the first one ended. After her tense confrontation with her father Hank and the fall of Shady Sands, Lucy MacLean begins a personal journey to uncover the truth about her origins.

However, she isn’t traveling alone: The Ghoul (Walton Goggins), once an actor and now a hardened bounty hunter, and Maximus (Aaron Moten), a Brotherhood of Steel Knight facing his own crisis of loyalty, remain by her side.

Their path leads them to New Vegas, a chaotic and dangerous region where power is constantly shifting among rival factions. At the center of it all is Mr. House (Justin Theroux), the enigmatic ruler who controls the city through both technology and influence.

Once the trio arrives in New Vegas, new alliances, betrayals, and moral dilemmas begin to surface. These challenges are expected to reveal more about Lucy’s past, Hank’s true intentions, and the mysterious life The Ghoul once lived. With Mr. House entering the story, the tone becomes darker and the show expands its world in a way that pushes the boundaries of what game-to-screen adaptations can achieve.
