Millie Bobby Brown, the 21-year-old star of Stranger Things recently spoke out to condemn media attacks and «bullying» regarding her appearance during the promotion her new project, The Electric State.

In line with comments from the press and social media, the actress has been forced to address pregnancy rumors. This type of comment is something other female artists of her age also have to endure. The speculation emerged after she was seen purchasing diapers. During an appearance on the SmartLess podcast, Brown clarified that the diapers were for baby goats she was raising on her farm, not for a human baby.

«Jake had to kind of draw the line at some point, because we were bringing in these goats that sleep in our bed and they were in diapers,» she stated on the podcast. «People started thinking I was pregnant because I was buying bottles and nappies and all the things.»

Brown, who married Jake Bongiovi in May 2024, has been open about her desire to start a family. She shared that both she and Bongiovi come from large families and envision having a big family themselves. While she is focused on her acting and producing career, Brown emphasized that starting a family is a significant personal goal.

«Of course I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family,» Brown said.

In a previous interview, Brown expressed her aspiration to be a mother, inspired by the nurturing role her own mom played in her life. She noted that while she never particularly dreamed of a perfect wedding, becoming a mother has always been a central ambition.

«For me personally, it’s a huge thing. Jake was like, ‘We cannot do that until we get married.’ So that was his thing. And my thing was, ‘I really want a family.’ I really want a big family. I’m one of four; he’s one of four. So it is definitely in our future,» she added on the podcast.

Despite the recent rumors, Brown has confirmed that she is not currently pregnant. The speculation arose solely from her purchase of supplies for her baby goats, highlighting how quickly such rumors can spread based on misunderstandings.

As Brown continues to balance her burgeoning career and personal aspirations, she remains candid about her future plans, including her enthusiasm for motherhood when the time is right.
