Michelle Trachtenberg, the actress known for her roles in series and films such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl (where she starred alongside Leighton Meester and Blake Lively), has passed away at the age of 39.
According to an exclusive report by The New York Post, it was the actress’s mother who discovered her body around 8 a.m. in her Central South Manhattan apartment on Wednesday, February 26. Trachtenberg had recently undergone a liver transplant.
Her death is not currently being investigated as suspicious or linked to any criminal activity, the Post adds.
