‘7 Vidas’: María Becerra just made her acting debut on the small screen with the Netflix project En el Barro, a spin-off of the hit Argentine series El Marginal. The series follows five women who form an unbreakable bond after a deadly accident, only to face corruption and gang wars that threaten to tear them apart.
Becerra steps into the role of Cleo, a young woman from the barrio who falls in love, becomes a mother, and fights to protect her child while facing brutal circumstances.
According to MARCA, after getting caught up in one of her partner’s scams, she ends up behind bars, where she’s extorted into doing whatever it takes to keep her bond with her son alive. Through Cleo, the show explores themes of motherhood, resilience, and sacrifice in impossible conditions.

But María doesn’t just act — she also brings her music into the project. She’s behind ‘7 VIDAS’ (Seven Lives) a cumbia-infused track with strong urban vibes that fits seamlessly into the series’ gritty prison setting.
The song is a dark, vengeful heartbreak anthem. María sings about how she’s been betrayed by someone they deeply loved. Her partner left them for someone else while the narrator was left broken and abandoned. Instead of showing sadness alone, the lyrics channel anger, resentment, and a thirst for revenge, using powerful imagery of betrayal, imprisonment, and even violence.
Last night I ended up broken, you tore my heart apart
I saw you traded me for another, while I was waiting in a ward
And look at how life goes, I don’t even know what’s worse
Paying this sentence, or the kiss of your betrayal
One day I’ll get out of here
To make you pay for what you did to me
So you remember me, so you remember me
Damn cat, in all your seven lives I’ll make you miserable
So you remember me, so you remember me
The day you die, I’ll bring you back just to make you suffer
The day you regret it, I’ll be waiting with the .40
One for Cupid, and another one for you
Without seeing the light of day, any heart turns cold
And now mine only beats with hate and resentment
One day I’ll get out of here
To make you pay for what you did to me (She says)
So you remember me, so you remember me
Damn cat, in all your seven lives I’ll make you miserable
So you remember me, so you remember me
The day you die, I’ll bring you back just to make you suffer
