In a recent interview with Javier Ceriani, Lele Pons opened up about the emotional toll the situation has taken on her. “I was feeling really sad, and you start to believe everything people say,” she admitted. “Some of the comments were incredibly harsh. People were accusing me of intentionally trying to harm my daughter — me, someone who’s always dreamed of becoming a mom. That really hurt.”

She added, “I kept telling myself, ‘I can’t be sad, the baby will feel it. I just can’t.’ That’s why I’ve made sure to have support around me at all times.”

Lele also spoke about how social media has affected her during this stage of her pregnancy: “People assume that someone like me doesn’t see anything online — but I do. Thankfully, many kind people have reached out with beautiful messages. Throughout most of this pregnancy, I’ve just wanted to stay home and take extra care of myself. I’m trying to step away from social media,” she said.

Following the backlash, the gender reveal video has been taken down from her accounts. Lele made it clear that she’s stepping away from the internet for a while to focus on her mental health — and, just as importantly, her baby’s well-being.
