Kenia Os has become one of the most influential Mexican artists in the music industry. Recently, she made headlines for her rumored relationship with Peso Pluma, which was later confirmed. However, this isn’t the first time the former YouTuber has faced criticism over her love life.
In the past few hours, Kenia’s name has gone viral across social media, especially on X. But why now? It all started with a video featuring Gabo Cuevas, a reporter who claimed that whoever collaborates with Kenia is automatically linked to her romantically.
Cuevas pointed to past rumors, like speculation about her and Belinda after their song ‘JACKPOT,’ as well as her connections to Gabito Ballesteros and Peso Pluma, with whom she released ‘TOMMY & PAMELA’ in 2024. But what really angered Kenia’s fans wasn’t just the gossip—it was Cuevas’s remark that she “has such a small brain.”
es terrible que uno de los medios de televisión más grandes de México le dé trabajo a una persona tan desagradable, misogina y poco profesional, es necesario que @VengaLaAlegria despida urgentemente a @gabo_cuevas

His comment sparked backlash, with many demanding respect not only for Kenia but for all women who want to live their personal lives without judgment. Additionally, many users called the comment misogynistic and sexist.
Fans also brought back a statement Kenia made in the past, where she wrote: “For a world where it’s neither taboo nor offensive for a woman to enjoy her sexuality just as men do.”
Por un mundo donde no sea un tabú ni ofensa que la MUJER disfrute su sexualidad al igual que el HOMBRE.

Kenia has spoken openly about the gender inequality in the music industry, calling out how women are often held to much higher standards than men. In an interview with Glamour, she questioned why this imbalance still exists and why women constantly have to prove themselves more.
She gave an example, explaining that a male artist can take the stage wearing just a designer jacket, and no one bats an eye. But if a woman does the same, it’s seen as unprofessional or a weak performance. “People always expect more from women and demand so much more than they do from men. And if we don’t meet those expectations, they say we’re not doing a good job,” Kenia said.
As the conversation continues online, many are calling for more respect in how women in the entertainment industry are portrayed in the media.
