The South Korean group BLACKPINK made their last public appearance in September 2023 during the Born Pink World Tour. Since then, even during the tour, Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo have been focusing on their solo careers. Still, no matter how much time passes or how far apart they are, some connections never fade. The excitement and hope to see them reunited are only growing, and it seems that moment might be closer than we think.
In an interview with Lyndsey Havens for Billboard, as part of their latest cover story, Jennie shared insights into her relationship with her bandmates. She explained that even though each member has been following her own path, they stay in touch. “We are all so caught up with life. Obviously, we can’t be calling each other every day,” she said openly.
Jennie also assured fans that their bond hasn’t changed and that they genuinely celebrate each other’s achievements. “Even though we know we can’t see each other so much, it doesn’t really feel any different than all the other years because we know we’re here for each other.”

When asked about the group’s return, Jennie responded with excitement. “You know, everyone took their own journey [during] this time, and I’m excited to share that with the girls,” she said. While the timing of their comeback is still uncertain, Jennie promised that when they do return, they’ll be the ‘most powerful versions’ of themselves the world has ever seen.
Rosé is currently making waves on streaming platforms with her hit ‘APT.,’ featuring Bruno Mars. The track is the lead single from her debut solo album, rosie, which has become one of the most praised albums of 2024. At the same time, Lisa continues to stand out with her unique style and captivating choreography. Her single ‘ROCKSTAR’, released last June, was followed by a stunning collaboration with Rosalía (‘New Woman’) in a beautifully artistic music video. Fans are now eagerly awaiting her upcoming project, Alter Ego, set to release in 2025.

Jennie has also been busy, co-starring in the series The Idol with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp. The soundtrack, ‘One Of The Girls,’ became the eighth most-streamed song of the year, and she also gifted fans with her bold single ‘MANTRA.’ Finally, Jisoo released her first solo track, ‘FLOWERS,’ leaving fans hopeful for more exciting releases in the near future.
There are rumors that the group might make a comeback in May, but fans are understandably skeptical, as some members are still busy with their solo projects. Even so, there’s plenty of hope, and many are looking forward to the group’s return later this year, possibly kicking off a more ambitious and lasting era than before.
