Ever dreamed of being in a boyband like One Direction? Well, now might be your chance. HYBE—the global company behind music production, publishing, event management, and talent representation—is launching a new opportunity. If the name doesn’t sound familiar, you’ve probably heard of some of the artists it manages: BTS, SEVENTEEN, and Tomorrow X Together, to name a few. That should give you an idea of how big this company really is.
Through its Latin American branch, HYBE is kicking off an ambitious reality show that will follow a small group of young talents living and training together. The goal? To form the next big Latin pop boyband.
As reported exclusively by Billboard, the show will start filming in Mexico City, though the official title hasn’t been announced yet. Out of all the auditions, 16 contestants will be selected from a range of countries—including Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Peru, and even the United States.

By the end of the season, only five will make the final cut. The most well-rounded performers will become the official members of the new group. With this project, HYBE aims to create something totally new and on a large scale—its first-ever artist development program in the Spanish-speaking world. The format will blend the successful tools used in K-pop with Latin America’s unique cultural and artistic identity.
J.H. Kah, CEO of HYBE Latin America and the driving force behind the project, expressed: “This project is about much more than music. It’s about reimagining how Latin talent can be discovered, developed and presented to the world. We are building the foundation for the next generation of global Latin artists with the highest creative and production standards.”
The show is designed as a detailed, long-format, multi-platform program. Each week, it will feature performance highlights along with behind-the-scenes moments, all of which will be shared through streaming platforms, social media, and music channels.
As for the team guiding and training the contestants, it includes some major industry names. Serving as executive producer is Kenny Ortega, best known for directing and choreographing the High School Musical and The Descendants franchises. Choreographer Charm La’Donna, who’s worked with stars like Rosalía, Dua Lipa, and Kendrick Lamar, will be in charge of dance training. Vocal coaching will be led by Rober J ‘RAab’ Stevenson, who has collaborated with top artists such as SZA and Rihanna.
