Grand Theft Auto is one of the most beloved video game franchises in the world. Its upcoming release, Grand Theft Auto VI, has been one of the most anticipated titles of 2025. However, Rockstar Games has officially announced that GTA 6 has been delayed to May 26, 2026, pushing back its original release window from fall 2025.
In this new installment, players will explore the state of Leonida, home to the lively and familiar streets of Vice City. The game is expected to be the most expansive and immersive experience in the series so far. It was originally meant to mark the studio’s 25th anniversary in a big way. The company explained that it needs additional time to ensure the game meets the high-quality standards expected by players.
