It’s no surprise anymore that Charli XCX is stepping into film with her upcoming project, The Moment — a movie where she plays a meta version of herself. The film follows an emerging pop star navigating the highs and lows of fame, the constant pressure of the industry, and the chaos of preparing for her first stadium tour.
From the looks of it, The Moment dives deep into a more intimate and reflective side of stardom. It’s a story about what happens behind the spotlight — how public scrutiny, personal ambition, and vulnerability collide when success finally arrives.
And if that premise alone doesn’t grab you, the cast lineup will. Charli not only stars but also conceived the idea herself. Supported by A24 (set to oversee the global release) and its new production division Studio365, the project gathers an eclectic and star-studded mix of names.

For Charli, The Moment represents a real turning point. After appearing in films like Faces of Death, Erupcja, and 100 Nights of Hero, this marks her most personal and ambitious project yet. A fusion of pop culture, indie cinema, and raw emotion that blurs the line between reality and performance.
When will The Moment be released?
The Moment is set to hit theaters sometime in 2026, though an exact release date hasn’t been announced yet.

The Moment isn’t just a film — it’s a creative statement. Still wrapped in mystery, the story was conceived by Charli XCX and directed by Scottish filmmaker and photographer Aidan Zamiri, who’s making his feature-film debut.
The script, co-written with writer Bertie Brandes, promises a daring narrative likely filled with experimental visuals and emotional depth, reflecting the bold, hyper-aesthetic world that Charli has built through her music and visuals.
Studio365: Charli’s New Creative Playground
The Moment is also the first project from Studio365, Charli XCX’s new production company — a move that marks her growing influence beyond music. In an interview with Variety, Charli shared that she spent years studying the world of film before diving in, determined not to take this leap unprepared.
