The 97th Oscars, set to take place on Sunday, March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, promises to be not only a celebration of film but also a musical spectacle. The Academy has officially confirmed the lineup of female artists who will perform during the ceremony: Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Doja Cat, Raye, Lisa, and Queen Latifah.

The performances will complement the segment honoring the composers behind the Best Original Song nominees. Initially, it seemed there would be no live performances, but the biggest night in Hollywood will indeed pay tribute to show business with three musical numbers.

Queen Latifah Joins the Star-Studded Lineup

Rounding out the constellation of performers is Queen Latifah. While her exact role in the ceremony has not yet been revealed, she may pay tribute to musicals, hip-hop, or take part in the In Memoriam segment honoring film industry figures who passed away in 2024.

Hosted by Conan O’Brien & Broadcast Worldwide

The ceremony will be hosted by the renowned Conan O’Brien and will air live on ABC and Hulu in the United States (Movistar+ in Spain).

Among the films with the most nominations, Emilia Pérez (13), The Brutalist (10), and Wicked (10) stand out as frontrunners, while Conclave (8), Anora (6), and The Substance (5) remain strong contenders.

Additionally, the devastating Los Angeles wildfires of early 2025 will be a central topic of the 97th Academy Awards.
