Getting to personally wish your favorite artist a happy birthday? That’s a rare moment—and a lucky group of Anuel AA fans got just that. On November 26, the Puerto Rican superstar turned 33, and while touring in Spain, some fans surprised him outside his hotel in Madrid.
They made the day extra special by bringing a cake and candles. As soon as Anuel stepped out, they lit the candles and sang “Happy Birthday.” Surprised and smiling from ear to ear, he gently moved aside his security team to get closer and thank them for the heartfelt gesture.
Unlike past years, Anuel hasn’t shared any birthday party pics or videos, suggesting he’s either celebrating privately or waiting until his European tour wraps up. But one thing’s clear—his fans have flooded social media with love and birthday wishes.

Anuel AA’s story is anything but ordinary. He started recording music at 14 and uploading it online at 18. In 2016, he was arrested and spent 30 months in prison. But instead of slowing down, that experience launched his career to new heights. From behind bars, he recorded vocals for collaborations and inspired the #FreeAnuel movement, becoming a symbol of authenticity in Latin trap.
After his release in July 2018, he dropped his debut album Real Hasta la Muerte, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart. Since then, he’s worked with heavy hitters like Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, Karol G, J Balvin, and Bad Bunny, toured internationally, and amassed impressive streaming numbers. On Spotify alone, he boasts over 35 million monthly listeners and more than 25 billion streams, while his YouTube channel nears 29 million subscribers and over 21 billion views.
Hits like Amanece, Sola (Remix), and Hasta Que Dios Diga have cemented his place in the music world.
Anuel AA isn’t slowing down. His upcoming album, Real Hasta la Muerte 2, promises to dive deep into his roots and kick off a new chapter in his career.
