The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards are almost here! This Sunday, September 7, the show will kick off with a presenter lineup that promises plenty of buzz. Hip-hop legend LL Cool J will host the night, and he won’t be doing it alone. He’ll be joined by a star-studded roster that highlights some of the biggest names in today’s entertainment.

2025 Performers
This year’s show is stacked with star power. Lady Gaga, leading the pack with 12 nominations, will hit the stage alongside Kendrick Lamar, Doja Cat, Post Malone, Tate McRae, Conan Gray, Jelly Roll, Mariah Carey. The latter is set to receive the Video Vanguard Award—and Ricky Martin, who will be honored with the first-ever Latin Icon Award.
For the first time, the VMAs are also bringing the Extended Play Stage into the main show. It will spotlight four debut performances:
- Bailey Zimmerman: the multi-platinum country star up for Best Collaboration and Song of the Summer.
- The Kid LAROI: the global hitmaker with five nominations.
- Lola Young: the British singer-songwriter performing her breakout track ‘Messy’ while competing for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Video.
- Megan Moroney: she will debut ‘6 Months Later’ and is nominated for Best Country Video with ‘Am I Okay?’
Where and When to Watch the VMAs
The ceremony takes place at UBS Arena in New York City and will air live on CBS, with streams also available on MTV and Paramount+. The pre-show kicks off at 7:00 PM ET, featuring a special performance by KATSEYE, the K-pop group making their first-ever appearance as VMA nominees.
